Beer tiramisu recipe

This decadent Tiramistout is a must-try for dessert lovers! Inspired by classic tiramisu, this version features Founders Breakfast Stout, a rich Oatmeal Stout from the renowned Founders Brewery. Brewed with oats, coffee, and chocolate, this creamy dark beer is practically a dessert in itself—but we’ve taken it a step further to create an even more indulgent treat.

Prep time: 20 minutes | Chill time: 3 hours

 Ingredients (Serves 4-6)

  • 20 cl Founders Breakfast Stout or a brown Ale (Leffe Brune)
  • 20 ladyfingers (adjust based on dish size)
  • 3 eggs
  • 100 g sugar
  • 250 g mascarpone
  • Bitter cocoa powder

 Instructions

Prepare the mascarpone cream

  • Separate the egg yolks from the whites.
  • Whisk the yolks with sugar until the mixture turns pale and frothy.
  • Add the mascarpone and mix until smooth.

Whip the egg whites

  • Beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form, adding a pinch of salt.
  • Gently fold the whites into the mascarpone mixture using a silicone spatula, making circular motions from bottom to top to maintain the fluffiness. Soak the ladyfingers
  • Pour 20 cl of Founders Breakfast Stout into a bowl.
  • Lightly dip the ladyfingers in the beer to soak up the coffee and chocolate flavors.

Assemble the tiramisu

  • Start with a layer of mascarpone cream in your serving dish.
  • Add a layer of beer-soaked ladyfingers.
  • Repeat the process, finishing with a layer of mascarpone cream.
  • Dust the top with bitter cocoa powder for the perfect finish.

 Chill & enjoy

  • Refrigerate for at least 3 hours before serving to allow the flavors to meld.
  • Serve chilled and enjoy this beer-infused twist on a classic dessert!
