Description
- A crowd-pleasing witbier beer with hints of orange and coriander.
- One of the most refreshing beers available.
The taste of Hoegaarden is unique and complex: sweet and sour with a note of bitterness, a spicy echo of coriander, and a hint of orange.
Even in Belgium before the 1960s, you’d have struggled to find a witbier. That is, until Pierre Celis resurrected this style of wheat beer – once widely brewed – in the town of Hoegaarden. Celis revived the style adding coriander seeds and Curaçao orange peel to make one of the world’s most refreshing styles.
Ingredients: Water, barley malt, wheat, glucose syrup, hops, yeast, coriander seeds, natural orange peel, citric acid.
Beer Colour
Pale ales, American pale ales and Belgian strong pales, are all often described as deep gold and has a malty body.
