Leffe Blonde is an authentic blond abbey beer with a slight hint of bitterness and a full, smooth and fruity flavour, which is followed by a strong and surprising aftertaste.
Leffe is one of the world’s most recognisable Belgian beers. Understandably so, it’s had more than 800, albeit tumultuous, years to build a brand and nail that quality. Abbaye de Leffe in Dinant was founded in the 12th century and, like most abbeys and churches, they built a brewery to serve drinks to parishioners and pilgrims. It wasn’t until 1929 when the abbey was re-established, and in 1952, Father Abbot Nys, along with brewer Albert Lootvoet, decided to start the brewery taking inspiration from its original recipes.
Ingredients: Water, barley malt, maize, barley, sugar, hops, yeast.
Beer Colour
Pale ales, American pale ales and Belgian strong pales, are all often described as deep gold and has a malty body.
